The science department at Spencer High
can offer you the basics in science as
well as courses for those of you who are
college bound. Rest assured that you
will be prepared for the Georgia High
School Graduation Test (GHSGT) when you
complete the basic Biology and Physical
Science classes. After the basic
sciences you have the opportunity to
pursue your special interests. If you
prefer the life sciences, we offer Human
Anatomy and Physiology,, and Zoology. If
you prefer the physical sciences, we
offer Chemistry and Physics. If you like
the outdoors, you might be interested in
our Environmental Science.
Upperclassmen who need a little extra
practice before or after the GHSGT can
select Biology II or Physical Science II
as their science elective. These classes
provide an intense study of weak areas
the students need to concentrate on for
the graduation exam while they earn
another science credit.
Students who are college-bound also
will have opportunities in our honors
classes. We offer Honors Biology, Honors
Physical Science, Honors Chemistry,
Honors Physics, and Forensic Science. So
no matter what your post secondary
aspirations may be, we have the science
you need to build your academic
