Mission Statement:
The mission of the Spencer High
School Physical Education Department is
to provide every student with a degree
of competence leading to the confidence
that encourages them to explore and
enjoy a variety of activities as well as
lifetime sports. Students will
experience a developmentally designed
program of skills and fitness, including
educational games and activities that
contribute to the development of the
total student.
Spencer’s Physical Education
Department tries to develop the whole
student physically, mentally, and
socially. Helping develop student’s
total body and mind structure.

Physical education teaches students
how to add the habit of physical
activity into their daily lives by
aligning instruction with the National
Standards for Physical Education, and by
providing content and learning
experiences that develop the skills and
desire to be active for life.
